Buhay Forest, Is it worth it?

Dated January 15 2021 Mr. Dennis Abrina wrote an article about the buhay forest which is the new Tourist Attraction in Magallanes Cavite especially for Nature Lovers. In his article he shared. 

"Cavite now offers something new for tourists, especially for those who are nature lovers and wish to breathe fresh air, outside of the polluted metro.

Buhay Forest (life in the forest) is a lush greenery and forest in the upland town of Barangay San Agustin, Cavite, 71.1 kilometers away from Manila – a perfect place to commune with nature, amid COVID-19" 

These are my thoughts and experience when I visited the place. Is it really worth it to visit Buhay forest? 

1. If you will be travelling by car or motorcyle, expect that there will be a long waiting time. Barangay officials will only allow you to enter once tourist leave the area. This is a protocol that they need to follow to control the number of people inside buhay forest. 

2. Once the barangay officials allows you to pass through, you still need to travel almost 1 Kilometer to reach the area. 

3. Parking: This won't be a problem since the area has a lot space where you can park your car and motorcycle. Since this is a public parking, be sure to bring extra lock with alarm if your using a motorcycle. The management will not be accountable for it.

4. Once you arrived the area, you need to proceed to the registration area. Registration Fee is 30.00 and be sure to wear face mask and face shield. The only challenge here is there will be a long line ahead. it took me almost 2 hours to do my registration and temperature check.


5. You don't have to worry where to buy food since the area offers different kinds of delicacies that are budget friendly from tapsilog, fried siomai and rice to juices. Tables and chairs are very limited.

6. Before taking the steps to reach the top, you can enjoy staying at one of the "Bahay Kubo" to unwind. They also have see-saws where your kids can play. 

7. There is  almost a total of 450 steps before you will reach the top so be sure to take your time to reach it especially if your not use to this kind of activity or adventure 

8. There are 3 Instagram worthy area where you can take your photos. However, there is a long line again where in you need to wait 30-45 minutes just to take a photo per attraction.


My Insights:

If you have a lot of time to spare this would be one of the places to hang out. although I hear a lot of people saying that it's not worth to visit in which I agree cause it wasted a lot of my time as well. But I suggest that you can visit as well the place and let me know your insights as well.

Villa Colmenar Natural Spring Resort  Tambo Kulit, Indang Cavite  Daytour: 8AM-5PM Overnight: 6PM-6A A lot of people are asking where to unwind and enjoy life outside the busy life of the Metro without spending a lot money.
