Aliw Falls, Luiciana Laguna

Aliw Falls, Luiciana Laguna

Here is to one of the waterfalls in Luiciana Laguna that I highly recommend for you to visit. It is 10-15 minute drive from Barangay San Salvador. After enjoying Hulugan, Talay and Hidden Falls you can go directly to Dafi Resort where the said waterfall is located.

Here are some of the details when you visit Aliw Falls
1. Tourist guide fee: 300.00

2. Entrance Fee: 20.00 each

3. Cut off for the day tour is up until 3:00pm but they can accomodate you up until 4:00pm. You can ask the Sir Danny who is very accomodating when I visited them.

4. It is a 30 minute treck when you visit the area but it will take you a little bit longer to reach the location since there are some scenery that I want you to enjoy and take pictures as well such as the "Talong Patay Falls" and the "Bilog" in the area.

5. There is a cafeteria inside the resort where you eat. I suggest to try the "Pancit Canton" lf Ma'am Tess which is good for 2-3 person for 90.00. and "Calderetang Baka"

6. They have Life vest as well that you can rent for 50.00 if you want to take a swim at Aliw Falls.

The trail starts at the back of the Dali Resort where you will pass through the farm. Sir Danny who was my Tour guide ar that time shared a little bit of history of the Aliw Falls. In the area before, there were birds that are called as the kingfisher bird. early people living in the area are enjoying the place because of this place, "naaliw ang mga tao sa mga ibon na toh kaya sila bumabalik s lugar" and people also enjoyed the second level of the waterfall where they can have an natural massage and people called the place as the Aliw Falls. Sad to say, these beautiful birds are no longer in the area.

After a 10 minute treck you will reach the place as the locals call it "Bilog" Where you can enjoy the clear waters in the area. The locals also use it to wash their clothes just like the old days. And there is one activity you can also do, they have a monkey swing that you can outmost enjoy.

Monkey Swing -Swimming Area is 8 feet

10 minute more you will pass through the "Talong Patay Falls" every May of the month, you will not be able to see this beautiful falls that is why its called Talong Patay. You need to take a right turn through the bushes to reach this place. Its very slippery so be sure you wear proper hiking shoes. Its not advisable to swim on this area since the rocks are big and the current is strong, you will just get hurt. Be sure to visit this place cause it is defintley one of the hidden gems in Luiciana Laguna.
A few more minutes on the treck and you will reach the Aliw Falls. The swimming area is 20-30 feet so be sure to wear a life vest if you want to go near the falls. tourist also climb the falls and jump on the right side of it.you will see a small staircase that you will use to reach the second point of the falls. There are 3 levels by the way, the second level is where you can go inside the waterfalls and enjoy and relax. The third level is a good place as well to take photos but don't swim in this area cause the current is so strong and it is a long drop.

                         My Tour guide, Sir Danny
